Shell Shop has served as the University’s online catalog ordering system that was integrated with the financial system. As part of Workday transition, Shell Shop will integrate with Workday. In the new system, employees can:
- start their Shell Shop requisition in Workday
- automatically access Shell Shop to select item(s), and
- move back to Workday to complete their check out
Non-catalog items are to be requested using the Non-Catalog Order button available in the Maryland Procurement & AP Menu.
With the Workday implementation, Procurement activities are initiated and handled in Workday, with electronic approvals and most associated forms available in one place.
Consistent with Workday requisitions, any authorized Workday user can create a Shell Shop requisition.
The new roles will be called:
- Requisitioner
- Cost center procurement reviewer
- Usource Manager (Fiscal Officer)
